Our first Aichi entry is Atsuta Jingu in southern Nagoya. Several stations reach different gates, so choose the approach that fits your route. Its ordinary shrine visit and the paid Treasure Hall or Kusanagi-kan exhibitions have different time and admission needs.

Getting there
Nagoya tourism lists about 3 minutes from Meitetsu Jingu-mae Station to the east gate, or 7 minutes from Atsuta Jingu Nishi subway station (exit 2) to the west gate. These are gate approaches; allow additional time inside.
