Mishima Taisha suits a stop near Mishima, while Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha is in Fujinomiya at the foot of Mount Fuji. Compare the towns and transport before choosing: these are separate travel bases, not adjacent stops. The Fujinomiya guide covers the foothill precinct, not the summit sanctuary or a mountain ascent.

Getting there
JNTO gives about 15 minutes on foot from Fujinomiya Station on the JR Minobu Line. Fujinomiya and Fujiyoshida are on different sides of Mount Fuji; add intercity transport when comparing their shrines.

Getting there
The shrine lists about 15 minutes on foot from JR Mishima Station, or 7 minutes from Mishima-Tamachi Station on the Izuhakone Railway. Allow additional time for the precinct walk.
