Our first Tokushima entry is Oasahiko Shrine in Naruto’s Bando area. Choose it for the wooded precinct and sacred camphor tree; the German Bridge adds a longer walk. It is separate from the whirlpool waterfront and the German House museum. Check staffed-counter hours if you want amulets or formal prayers.

Highlights
The sacred camphor tree · Wooded precinct and main worship hall · Optional longer walk to the historic German Bridge
Estimated visit
30–50 min

Ordinary worship and a short walk around the camphor-tree precinct; excludes station travel, the longer walk to the German Bridge, Mount Oasa, the German House museum, formal prayers and queues.

Getting there
Tokushima tourism lists about 20 minutes on foot from JR Bando Station on the Kotoku Line, or from the Naruto Nishi highway-bus stop. Check your return service separately; do not confuse this area with central Naruto or the whirlpool viewing sites.
