Susanoo no Mikoto

A short history

The founding date is not established. The official account places the shrine in the Enkyu period (1069–1073); the current main sanctuary and lion stage were completed in 1974.

Before you go

The lion stage is a sacred ritual space, not an attraction to climb. Follow event and photography instructions. Victory and prosperity prayers do not guarantee results.

The shrine is immediately east of Nankai Imamiyaebisu Station. Its official guide gives about 8 minutes from Daikokucho exit 3 or Ebisucho exit 5.
