Kusunoki Masashige

A short history

Founded in 1872 to enshrine Kusunoki Masashige, the shrine includes places associated with his death and burial. The current main buildings were rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1952 after wartime destruction.

Before you go

The painted ceiling inside the worship hall is associated with formal-prayer admission, not guaranteed access on an ordinary visit. The official guide describes ramps on the central approach, but does not certify every route as step-free.
