Choose by travel base, not just prayer category: Kushida and Hakozaki-gu fit Fukuoka city visits; Dazaifu suits learning prayers; Munakata's mainland Hetsu-gu focuses on heritage, while Miyajidake in Fukutsu offers a sea-facing viewpoint. The last three need separate local travel. Miyajidake's sunset alignment is seasonal, not an everyday promise.

Getting there
Use Hakozaki-Miyamae Station on the Fukuoka subway Hakozaki Line, then walk to the approach. From the airport or Hakata, check the connection at Nakasu-Kawabata.

Getting there
From JR Fukuma Station, take a bus to Miyajidake Jinja-mae or a taxi (about 5 minutes by the official guide). The shrine gives about 25 minutes on foot, roughly 2 km. Check current bus times and allow for the front steps.

Getting there
From JR Togo Station, take a Nishitetsu bus serving Munakata Taisha to Munakata Taisha-mae, then walk to the shrine. Munakata City's guide gives about 10 minutes for the bus journey. Check the current return timetable.
